Contact tracing is not going to happen in this country. Nothing is going to change that. It really doesn’t matter what good - or bad - things we think it might do. Not going to happen. For many reasons.

My state is doing it, well they're attempting to. Started early on. They call people and obviously people have to answer the call and want to participate. No one is being forced to participate.

@Greeneyedlady21   It won’t really work like it is meant to if only a few people participate. It can work very well, as we have seen in other countries, if everyone participates. In a single state, it can work until travel to/from other states starts.

Contact tracing allows us to function somewhat while simultaneously controlling the spread of the virus, the number hospitalized, and the number of deaths.  With this virus we have very few tools to monitor or control it.  Contact tracing covers the time gap facing us until a vaccine, and other treatment medicines are created to deal with it.  Otherwise, the only other tools we have are stay at home, wear PPE when we go outside, and prayer.

The crowds at these rallies indicate the level of despair of the people.  They are putting their very lives on the line, risking getting physically hurt, getting the virus, and possibly dying.
