Thanks, @chickenbutt :-)

We were at a restaurant on the water and that guy was hangin' out. I also got seagull closeups and young seals, all in the space of an hour. I was lucky!

@Moonchilde had to take a shower, cook dinner, went to face book and asked your question for myself ...those friends of mine who were frequent selfie sharers. LOL Quite a few different answers. Im sure one can find many reasons depending on the source but here is one interesting UK link about "selfies"

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/10760753/Why-we-really-take-selfies-the-terrifying-reasons-explaine...

Including is positive and negative about selfies.

My friends answers were similar, some different

Friend 1: (22 yo) Well I dont feel relevant at home. Taking selfie is a way to be social as I already have 2 kids, a job, and too much responsibility. Makes me feel good

Friend 2: Dont tell anyone but I want to see how many likes I get. (Ok technically I didnt tell anyone as ya'll dont know her) LOL

Sister: Wouldnt answer but according to nephew and brother she is a narcissist (see Jaki at beach, see jackie after intimacy...etc etc)

Friend 3: I had recently broke up with boyfriend and I was doing it to make him "See what he lost" Did it work? No

Ok there you have it....interviews by stormy and 1 source of scientific data.......just so noone can accuse me of pure speculation. LOOOOOOOL Been busy on here eh?

LOL - great answers, @Stormygirl, and all plausible! And - psychologists! And - the "Nar" word! Oh my goodness 😏

Very interesting article. I can certainly understand the "being in control" (of your image) aspect. LOL the "how many no-makeup selfies do you take" (to get the perfect one).

And interesting that the article pretty much assumes it's *young* people (with low self esteem) who are caught up in all this - so, not sure what that says about those participating who aren't so young.

According to this article is much the opposite of being "comfortable in ones own skin". Hope you got a chance to read it @Moonchilde. It would seem is quite the opposite as one might think eh?

2-3 times weekly isn't constant. Seems like you're giving it too much thought.

@SunValley, you're welcome! It made things a whole lot easier once FB added such tools, so you can control what you want to see first, every day, rarely and never, etc.

I'm a mom to two kids in their late 20's .. they post a lot of pics on Facebook and Instagram.  I appreciate all of it.  I see so much of their everyday activities, that I would have otherwise missed.

Some of it is selfies....I don't care.  I love to see their pics.

OP, maybe you should unfriend her. You say you are just curious, but it seems like you really just want to hear people knocking her. JMO.
