Looks so far like a nice day for it, @ms traditional. In addition to a great event for charity, it should be a powerful moment for one of their own, Steve Scalise, to return after the assassination attempt last year and many setbacks on the road to recovery!
I tried to find out last night if anyone else besides C-SPAN 3 was covering it, since not everyone gets their 3rd channel (including me!) If anyone hears of anyone else broadcasting it live, would appreciate the heads-up.

i found this that might help some who don't get CSpan3. i don't know if the links are live or not but do point people to Federal News Radio and to Facebook for live streams.

Yet you felt the need to comment. How special.

Well, I’ll be ‘special’ and comment as well. Nothing is more boring than watching casual players play softball unless one of the players is a grandchild.

@Nancy Drew —I watch the Seattle Mariners and enjoy that, especially when the team is doing well. The congressional softball game is quite different than professional baseball though.

Oh, I respectfully disagree, @tansy. I readily accept that perhaps for you, the only appealing amateurs are your grandchildren. But there are all kinds of interests out there.
Plenty of people have shown interest over the years in the Congressional baseball games, through either attendance, or watching or listening to them broadcast. Maybe it's the novelty of seeing one's elected representatives striving in a whole different arena.
I suspect there are plenty who like the idea of people of different philosophies and world views getting along on a field, forging friendships despite legitimate differences in outlook. And of course, this year, there is the added powerful story of overcoming a potentially deadly assault and coming back from near-tragedy to the joy of being on your team again...
That can be mighty appealing!
