Justice William O. Douglas served 36 years. Hopefully, Clarence Thomas will serve at least that long. These men and women are so amazing.

On RBG's wonderful anniversary, I'd also like to remember and thank President Jimmy Carter for starting RBG on her path to SCOTUS by appointing her to the US Court of Appeals, D.C.. And then thanks to President Clinton for completing her path by appointing her to the SCOTUS.

I was fortunate to catch an interview with Justice Thomas on CSPAN a few months ago. It was nice to hear him speak of his youth and wonderful life with his wife. They enjoy traveling the country in their motorhome. He said they look forward to spending his retirement years visiting more of North America.
