I remembered that you are an ABCer as you said, so your congratulations were particularly appreciated. My Dad is a duke alum and I've swallowed that toad a few times myself! ![]()

@Drythe Did you see Christian Laetner's tweet abou the Heel vs Kentucky game? He put aside the Duke UNC rivalry for a second.
One of my ministers joked he and his wife had a mixed marriage: he graduated from Duke; wife from UNC. 😀
I think it it will be a good game.
eta, as a Duke fan, I can still admit their regular season stunk. Heels deserve to be at the big dance!

I did not see Laetner's tweet, but have enjoyed hearing Jay Bilas refer to last year's tournament game as 'that oddly called game between Carolina & Villanova'. Of course I thought it a bit odd myself. Think Bilas is a class act. Remember a big game duke lost & the camera zoomed in tight on his face. He was in tears, but stared right into the camera without flinching - class.

Luke Maye's Game-Winner Lifts UNC Past Kentucky & Into Final 4
Leave it up to Christian Laettner to pour salt on the wounds of Kentucky fans following the Wildcats’ painful last-second loss to North Carolina on Sunday.
The morning after UNC sophomore Luke Maye broke Kentucky’s heart by draining a game-winning jumper to send the Tar Heels to the Final Four, the former Duke star posted a funny tweet that reminded everyone why he remains one of college basketball’s all-time villains.
Luke my son...May the force of the #32 be with you. #uncdownsthecats #theshotlives
Of course Laettner handed Kentucky the same fate 25 years ago when he swished the most iconic shot in the history of college hoops — a game-winner in overtime to earn Duke a berth in the Final Four — while wearing the No. 32.
It’s even better that Laettner was able to temporarily put the Duke-North Carolina rivalry aside and celebrate a UNC player all for the sake of taking a shot (no pun intended) at the Wildcats’ fan base. The responses to Laettner’s tweet will certainly be entertaining, because as we all know — everyone hates Christian Laettner.

Hi @Drythe I edited the the actual tweet!
what do you mean when you say I'm an ABCer? I'm not familiar with that expression.
For me, if 'Gonzaga was playing Duke tonight, a teeny tiny piece of me would be okay with cheering for Gonzaga because it's their first time at the championship. I'm cheering for both teams. For the record, my parents are rooting for Carolina.

Congrats... well yes, to Gonzaga anyway... ![]()

The men in my life have medical degrees from Duke, so it's nearly impossible to cheer for NC.. Gotta go with the Jesuits.
