Is there some reason you seem to find it necessary to give the results of games, or any contest in the titles of your threads? More specifically, this one, and also revealing the final in the Championship Game played on Monday night?
I really am not that interested in either of these thread's sport. Basketball is not my thing, but it could be for many that read the Community Chat Forum. As I am sure you are aware, many use "Time Shifting" devices, for various reasons.

@hckynut This is the Super Bowl for college basketball. It was live in the lower 48 (not sure about HAwaii and Alaska and US territories), it was live on Sling tv and was streamed live. During halftime, CNN, MSN, amdFox news showed the score as Breaking News; they also showed the final score and the named the winner as well as being in the news crawl on those channels. I did not spoil anything
I'd post my congrats with the team names to acknowledge their fans here and as congrats to the teams. There were many watching the game live and some soft trash talk. It was the sense of community that When I posted the congrats.
i do not spoil tv shows or the only other sport that I watch annually, the Westminster Dog show because those events are affected by time zones; this championship was not.

Thank you for responding. All of what you said about fans watching and celebrating is fine with me. But! Can't that celebrating be done within the thread instead of the title? I know you have seen the word "spoiler" in thread titles, why not include that word along with "What a Thriller Championship Game"? Is it possible you might know someone that worked Monday Night from 4:00pm to Midnight, and time shifted the game? Think they want to see the final result before watching their time shifted recording?
I bought my 1st VCR in the late 1960's. Why? Mainly because I worked night shifts for over 13 years before I could even get day hours. There are even millions more sports fans working night shifts now than in those earlier decades. There were great shows I had only heard about, and wanted to be able to see.
Monday Night Football was 1 of them, as was Happy Days and a few other sit-coms. I did everything possible to avoid hearing the scores of the football games, but there were many, most of which were my friends, that loved being a spoiler. Years or decades later? They understood as they caught up with technology, which was/is my 2nd reason for having the 1st consumer VCR available to the public.
I love talking hockey with many of the fans in the Sports Forum, most of which are the ladies. However, when my wife is gone on a Pet Sitting job, as long as 10 days, and we love watching the hockey games together. I do not watch them until she gets back home. Many times we have 3-4 games to watch.
During that over maybe 2 weeks, I don't even open the Sports Forum/watch sports shows on tv, and avoid the most obvious places I might see/hear the scores.
Sure, most have as little interest in hockey, as I have in baseball, and other lack of action sports. Time zones are not my concern, but I do think of that also. The reasons why millions of people choose to "time shift" varies, but to me their reasons are none of my business. But will I take a chance on possibly spoiling a game/contest or ending of a series without putting "spoiler in a thread title? No, I would nor will not.
I could not care less who won that basketball game, but you do realize that is not the point of my post regarding your 2 thread titles giving the final results of 2 sports games. As I said in 1of my 2 posts(one in each of your above mentioned threads), many don't "get it" until it happens to them. At that point most of them do "get it".
Reminds me of todays newscasts. Gotta be 1st, even before all the actual facts are known. Being the 1st to know, and let others know, seem to be the "it" for those in the news business, along with many on public social forums.

@hckynut Hi John,
glad you you saw my post. Yes, I understand what you are saying, however, I didn't see this type of response from you to a Super Bowl thread in sports or the one congratulating the Women's NCAA team on their win. They were the Posted just like mine.
As as far as not watching something live, yes, I understand that. My dad recorded the 'Daytona race since he was sitting with a friend at the hospital. It was the year Earnhardt died. Needless to say, everyone at the hospital was talking about what happened. So yes, I understand.
as far as my friends, they took today off in advance. It was going to be a day to recover from the loss or recover from the victory party.
for the the last week or so, the ones who followed the games, we have been posting in real time and I wanted to congratulate them. Its that simple. maybe next year someone will post it the correct way instead of the way I did it. Maybe you will bring this up for the Super Bowl as well so it doesn't happen again for that event next year.

I have had many similar posts saying pretty much the same thing, but never have I posted one in the Sports Forum, because it's name pretty much tells me I best steer away.Already explained that reason.
The many I did mention in my posts were on the Community Chat Forum. I can't specifically say the Superbowl/World Series Champ, or which ones. I do know there were many that told me "what to do with my post", while others were nice about it.
When the Stanley Cup Hockey Post Season begins, probably next week, I won't be getting on this BB at all, until we have watched our DVR of my New York Rangers Games. After avoiding what I could for so many decades now, I am used to staying away from the obvious places, including the radio.
You are cordial, as always, and I appreciate you and how you respond.

Spokane girl, so, no mystery, who I'm rooting for❤
Impressive young athletes. I think they both have the talent to win, but, only one will.
Good Luck Zags, so proud of you!🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀👍
I grew up in Spokane. I was hoping both West Coast teams would be the final two. If they had, I still would have rooted for the Zags.

LOL. In Seattle? We've had the wettest spring on record, today being no exception. At least we didn't get snow this year, except for a light dusting that was gone by mid day. i grew up a short distance from Indian Canyon Golf Course. We used to take our sleds there and sleigh ride the whole day. They also had a rope tow to pull you back up the hill at the first teel. It was great.

Been storming the last two days in the Carolinas. Schools in SC released the kids early yesterday due to tornado warnings. We have a break at the moment, but we are in a severe thunderstorm watch. Supposed to get more storms tonight. We need the rain, but could do without the wind and storms.

As kids we used to sled down Napa Hill 😉
We had snow that stayed forever, and wet, wet Spring. Makes for a very impressive River! I don't remember it ever being so high!
