Confused about Zappos/Amazon

I ordered some shoes from Zappos and they were delivered by Amazon. What am I missing here?

I do believe that Zappo's is owned by Amazon.

@bargainsgirl Me too. They came faster than expected too. I didn't know they were affiliated with Amazon and wondered what came in the Amazon box since I didn't have any orders from them.

Amazon has owned Zappos for many years. Like 10, maybe 15 years.

Very convenient returns. At Amazon spots like Kohls and Whole Foods or at UPS or USPS by just showing a QR code.

And they send out a replacement or refund before they get the item.
