I was involved in a bombing in London and for once my serene, calm, self was - for want of better words - blown away.

no-one can or should be penalized for not saying or putting out the "appropriate statements" at what is considered to be the right time after such an event.

This type of experience stays with you for ever plus every time I look at scars on legs  it all comes back.  Awful events.

I'm so sorry for what you went through. Your trauma had to imaginable.

Thank you for putting it so well...hopefully it will sink into those quick to blame while they sit in their safe havens of non-reality.

Take care.

Yes having survived the Pentagon attack on 9/11 - which I guess we now understand to have been perpetrated by crazy individuals with no particular agenda, it gets harder and harder to see more and more people killed and maimed with just no idea how to stop it.

@Isobel Archer Senseless Murder comes in many forms.  They can be based on religious tenets; bigotry, greed, power.  Group radicalization is not new.  You're right ~ we should never get used to it as a civil society.

You don't even see how messed up that is, do you? Wow, just wow!

And they are BLAMING her!!

I'm not blaming her for the attack or what happened-what I said is based on her " I hate America"  comment and behavior in the past including her getting poltical as many of these out of touch celebs do people are pointing that out-

if you can't figure out what thats about well then I'm not going to explain further

No one is blaming her for anything except her previous words and behavior

My point is I wonder if her views on terrorism have changed -

@goldensrbest  Probably because some prefer to get the last word in. *sigh*

I have tickets for a concert in the fall and honestly it crossed my mind regarding safety, especially since a disabled family member is attending.

I am sorry to read that some posters have experienced terror in their own lives.

Such a sad day for kids so young; the most we can do is offer up a wish for healing and strength for all  victims.

9/11 was perpetrated by Saudi Arabian Al-Qaeda operatives who were trained and funded in a carefully crafted attack against the US.  Much of what we see these days are either self-radicalized individuals who are wanna-be terrorists, and are elevated by terror groups after the attack is over (for recruitment purposes), or home grown malcontents with easy access to weapons.

that wanna be became a terrorist and access to weapons had NOTHING to do with it

I get it.  It's her politics. She was also at the Womens March in January. Crystal clear now.

i don't understand those who are out for blood, blaming AG who is surely traumatized herself.

The only one to blame is the bomber and anyone who helped him kill and maim innocent young people and anyone else who was hurt.

Who is blaming her?

AG will have to live with this forever- and that's a long, long time for her.  She's going to need therapy.  My heart breaks for her as my heart breaks for the victims and their families.

You are assuming that she cares that much.

I don't know if she does or doesn't, but she hasn't shown herself to be much of a caring type person to date.

Unless it's about herself.

I'm assuming she is a normal human being who isn't a psychopath and immune to the pain and suffering of others.  Is there a reason I shouldn't make that assumption?

In general, I guess, we

In general I think we shouldn't make assumptions about people.

But that might be an entirely different thread.

But then the bomber isn't responsible either as he's only 22.

@QueenDanceALot In general, I assume people are normal, with normal emotions, until they prove otherwise.  Unless someone has some evidence that AG is not normal, I'll continue to believe she is.

the womens march has nothing to do with any of this thread or her
