My son's condo association just sent ballots around regarding some roof repairs in the amount of $22,000 and they want to have it fixed before winter. The owners are supposed to submit their ballots as to "YES" (I vote to make the repairs), or "NO" (I vote against making the repairs). If you answer "NO" a reason is required. My son's gut feeling is to vote NO due to the fact that he's short on money and there has been inadequate information surrounding this project, i.e., did they advertise for bids, how many bids did they get? I know the Board President's nephew is a contractor and he's been known to do other "jobs" around the complex.
BYW: They recently assessed everyone for a new fence around the pool, too.
