Several times now while just browsing the QVC boards, my antivirus comes up and says something like this "confirmation is needed to change these settings". When I click Cancel it tells me that there has bee a threat. I know a few days ago I was getting run time errors and could not get in. Has anyone else had their Antivirus warn them while on these boards? It has happened now several times.

No. Everything has been normal.

Through the years it's happened to me about half a dozen times. I never got a virus though. I don't know what activated it.

No, but I use iMacs.
I'm guessing since you didn't post the exact popup message, but it's likely your computer is infected with adware if you saw this message, “Threat Detected: Immediate Action Required."
Take a look at this article to see if it matches your experience. It has step-by-step guide to remove the malicious adware:
Remove “Threat Detected: Immediate Action Required” pop-up
“Threat Detected: Immediate Action Required” pop-up is a fake alert shown on an infected machine. It is usually cause of an adware, which infects major browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. The real intent of this adware is to gain money. Once you see “Threat Detected: Immediate Action Required” and if you mistakenly follow it, the result is contrary to what you expect. It is absolutely not to fix or eliminate the threat but merely to install an even more adware onto the system... "

Thanks for the follow-up, conit! If it happens again, it would be interesting to see the exact message you see. Sometimes popup messages do try to impersonate reliable products and can look exactly like the real thing. Unfortunately, criminals and hoaxers are constantly improving their "product." Wouldn't it be great if they devoted so much time and effort toward something positive? Anyway, always good to be alert.
