Complaints about the USPS & Returns

Lots of negatives about returns between the USPS & QVC so I thought it only fair I share something good.

As I was pulling out of my garage yesterday to drop a return at the post office just then my mailman was starting up my driveway. I rolled down the window said "oh I was just on my way to the post office to drop something off", he said "I'll take it for you if you want". Back in the garage I went. Last evening a little after 8:00pm I got a notice from QVC that my package was on it's way back to them. That was fast.

Of course how long it'll take to get a refund might be a different story.

Re: Complaints about the USPS & Returns

I had to return something recently to the Q and my refund notice via e-mail came about a week after dropping it off at the post office and it was credited back to my card about 3 days after the notice came.  So I was happy with that.

My refund of $758.44 for a computer from September 19 has not yet been posted to my account after 7 calls to CS.

@shaggygirl  If you paid with a credit card, your bank ought to be able to help you.  I'd file complaints with the West Chester BBB, the Federal Trade Commission and the Pa. Attorney General's  Office (Consumer Fraud Division)

I surely wouldn't let them get aw. ay with using my money.

Re: Complaints about the USPS & Returns

I have found that if you hand a return to your carrier, they will scan it and it will be recorded for tracking.

If you take it to the office and hand it to a clerk they will scan it and it will be on record.  I always say I need it scanned and they do it.  IF you just leave it on the counter or toss it in a bin it may not get scanned for a long time until it gets to a central location--or never really scanned.

I hope that is useful!

Re: Complaints about the USPS & Returns

I always stand in line at the P.O. to make sure I get the receipt that shows the scanned information.  Unless I'm in an absolutely hurry then I leave it on the counter where they will scan it later.  But yes, you can schedule a pickup from the P.O. to come to your house and they scan it when they take it.  :-)

Re: Complaints about the USPS & Returns

I leave returns in my mail box for USPS and if they don't fit or are UPS or Fedex returns I drop them at Pony Express about a mile away.  I don't have to wait in line and they scan them before they are sorted and picked up.
