Re: Community Page - Share your Top Five Updated

Stop with closing threads to further posts, it's annoying to have someone somewhere decide when no one else can give their view.

Stop removing threads that are popular and get lots of responses. You can remove the nonsense ones and those that are actually emails to specific posters

When you get banned for the most ridiculous reasons and you see others posting much worse things and nothing is done...well...it gets old.

{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}That's a standard practice at well-managed boards, tansy.

I do not see why any of the established nics here would have a problem with this.

Nor do I, tansy.

I suggested that they remove the ""last edited"" deal. It just causes more drama.

I think it is ridiculous to suggest that moderators babysit people and check their posts over first. I also think some people who want that feature might be surprised to find themselves subject to such babysitting. Sort of like when the neighborhood watch groups want a policeman on duty to stop speeders. Guess who gets a ticket? Yup. The ones who wanted the policeman.

ITA....they should just ban the chronic offenders and the multiple nic posters...just sayin'!!

I agree. I suspect there are quite a few of us who wouldn't make the cut.

I have no idea what this means?

I don't have a problem with that...go for it...might help.

if you read the suggestion carefully you find it is for people that have caused trouble on threads. Only their posts would be monitored. It would cut down on the trolling and multi-nic issues we all agree we have.

I think it might also stop this insane bickering that seems to erupt all too often.

They would be monitoring just about every poster on viewpoints then!

Not really.....

hmmmmm I seem to recall someone ...oh wait it was YOU who called someone the B word....think that would make the cut?

Not ""no worries"" Lotus. Say it aint so!

I disagree...I would welcome moderaters to be among us...I am saying be careful how much you are asking for...if we have to have our posts approved some of those complaining might be among that list of posters.

Hi, croemer! I know! But it shouldn't bother us if we're careful, thoughtful and considerate in what we post. jmo, ymmv
