Skechers, Go Walk 2, Axis. No break in needed. Made of fabric so no rubbing issues. Since they are made of fabric, I don't know about durability as I have only had mine 2 months. But other than that issue, they are great. Come in several colors. Shoebuy has a 25% discount going now with free shipping both ways and no tax. Sorry I don't know how to post a pic.

I've had rubbing issues with fabric shoes. I remember getting horrendous blisters from KEDS.

Mutmom, I may be wrong, but aren't Keds made of canvas? The Skechers appear to be made of actual fabric and are very soft which is why I expressed my concern about the durability.

I thought canvas was a fabric.

I can't wear sneakers at all so I understand why you're saying ""no tennis shoes."" I find Soft Spots and Naturalizers very comfortable as well as light weight. They are both a good shoe for ""walking"" which you will be doing a lot of on your Disney trip. Have fun.

If you ever change your mind about athletic shoes, try New Balance. Exquisitely comfortable.

I work in Alegrias. So many different styles, but I really like the clogs. I'm a nurse -- I can't imagine wearing anything else on my feet.

Chaco's, Ecco or Teva are all good choices. Great for Disney for 10-15 mile days. Depending on style, great for getting wet and drying quickly . . . either due to afternoon rain showers or getting wet on a ride. My feet are very picky . . . high arch, a little wide and a little case of "hammer" toes. Unless I KNOW the brand well, I cannot buy shoes online . . . good luck finding the "right" shoe . . . and the left one too! In years gone by, I would wear tennis shoes @ Disney and buy them 1/2 size too big . . . lots of wiggle room for toes but now I prefer the brands mentioned and let my feet breathe. Although for December trips I prefer to at least have on hand some closed shoes in case it turns cold or for later evening touring with cooler temps. {#emotions_dlg.blush}

For Chaco's I like the double strap with the toe loop. Adjustable. Great for Disney, hiking or water activities like river rafting etc.

For Ecco I like the Off Roads but they aren't great for getting wet for longer periods of time due to the nubuck material. Adjustable. I've trekked all over Europe in our trips there in two pairs I have. It is nice to alternate days with shoes when walking a great deal. "Versatile design features make this sturdy nubuck upper sandal great for all outdoor wear. Lightweight with a specially designed tread pattern to provide optimum comfort. Feet stay fresh with the stretch-fit material lining. "

For Teva I like the Neota, Dark Earth is my favorite color. Very adjustable. "The women's Neota offers classic Teva architecture in a sporty and feminine package. The perfect sandal to take you around the block or around the world, the Neota is one of those rare items that can immediately work its way into your everyday wardrobe."

I would recommend Vionic Orthaheels. I wear them to our amusement park all the time with my GD.
