Or, perhaps you inherited a gene, made the best of it and now have a profession or avocation base on it.

Or, perhaps you learned an entirely new body of knowledge in a new profession and simply grew and grew with it to the extent that it "made" you who you are today.

While I love all forms of art, I have always been drawn to Early American art forms. Since my childhood. In my old age, I can say I have tried many. It makes my heart sing.

I am a genius in nothing. In one’s lifetime, my thought is that most of us can barely “scratch the surface.” Hey, I always told my children this saying: If you are great in anything, someone else will do your bragging for you.

I learned to sew at around 8 when my mom taught me on her new Singer machine--1960 or so---I'm 64 now but due to numbness from chemo in my hands/fingers, very hard to do the more detailed things I used to. Loved arts and crafts too. Had an affinity for stenciling. I sewed up clothing, and window treatments-----would have loved a serger back then too. I worked in a garment manufacturer and learned on the industrial machines.
