I'm in S Fl in a community of 1,300 units. Comcast cable is paid for from our association dues We have a bulk rate, that is less than $30 a mo. for what is one step above basic cable. Last year AT&T installed the underground lines for their cable system. The contract with Comcast runs out next year and our HOA wants to bring in AT&T as our cable provider. Both companies have been at our meetings to discuss what they had to offer. The cost difference is so small that I don't think its worth the effort.

After polling the community it looks like more folks want to stay with Comcast. Now the board is going to continue negotiating with both companies before a decision is made. Personally I feel "if it ain't broke don't fix it". I've also heard negative things about AT&T from people who have it.Comcast also isn't perfect, but at least we know what we have.

Does anyone have experience with both companies and can give a first hand opinion?

Let me add that this an over 55 community and alot of residents are way over 55 , I'm not. I doubt if some of them are prepared to figure out new equipment. IMO
