Lol 😂
However, I've been pretty fortunate thus far doing this the last ten years. It never fails that the reps claim they can't offer me a thing, but once I finally get to speak to a supervisor I do get what I'm asking for. Could be another representative posing as a supervisor just tired of dealing with me after about an hour of haggling. I'm just glad it works lol.

They raised my bill to $187.00 a month ,10 channels, no phone ,1 laptop,1 tv.

I pay $246+ and it includes a million channels, internet and landline. All our discounts (pffft) expired.
My husband has to have a zillion sports channels. If there's a channel for frog races, he'd have to have it.
But I like old retro TV channels, so I guess I'm to blame, too.
We don't have any *Premium Channels* like HBO, etc.
I know my son (who is a sports nut, too) got away from cable companies and still gets everything they want for so much less. I need him to sit down with us and figure it out for us....help!

I went thru that with Astound (RCN) 2 years ago. I asked for a lower price when mine went up to $247.00 for landline and mid level cable. They wouldn't, so I cut the cord and returned their equipment.

@ScrapHappy wrote:Husband called Comcast. Tried to lower our cost. Only thing they said they could offer is drop the amount of channels to 40 and that would cost $20/month not including fees and taxes. I really thought (and hoped) we ccould get something.
I did not have any luck negotiating with Comcast either. They said there were no promotions available at the time. I switched services.
Eventually I switched to You Tube TV and am happy with it. The only drawback is that I don't have Lifetime. I can watch Lifetime on their website, but some shows are locked. I can also watch some Lifetime shows on Hulu, but they seem to be older seasons, not current.

We went to the level over basic (never watched their 10 year old movies) and got netflix. I also get great movies from Amazon prime.
I don't want sports channels.

If the cat can give me a discount, I'll talk to the cat!

We pay Comcast 239 a month, that is my latest rate. We have Triple Play, Tv, landline, internet and free Netflix and free Peacock. No HBO or Showtime right now. I am satisfied. A landline is a must for me. We have 3 boxes.

Wow, @goldensrbest where are you located if you don't mind my asking? Is this Comcast?
