Columbia College, Chicago

My friend's daughter registered to go to Columbia College in Chicago in the fall. We live in Southern California and she's never been to Chicago. She wants to live on campus - there are several buildings - but we need suggestions from people who are familiar with this school. Is one building favored over the other; is one building closer to the actual school; is parking convenient? Any other information would be appreciated.
