I still don't understand ""pantone"". I wouldn't mind having a job coming up with the names for colors. OPI does a great job naming their nail polish colors.

I don't get the reference to pantone either. It isn't like customers whip out a pantone color book from their back pocket whenever a pantone color is mentioned.

It's a silly advertising gimmick.

Which store got in trouble for calling the color of a dress in the plus size ""manatee grey?"" The same dress in regular misses size had a different name for the same shade. It was absolutely hysterical.

I think it may have been JCP or Kohl's. (This was a couple of years ago.)
