I'm so glad to see this thread! I just wanted everyone interested in these coloring books to know there's a small coloring book available that has an assortment of designs, for only 3.99. I think it's printed by Dell. The size is a little bit smaller than Prevention magazine. I measured! lol
It was in with the magazines at the checkout today at Dollar General. It's got tons of different designs,so you can decide how much detail you want to work on. It looked like a great and inexpensive way to try out this hobby, if you were unsure whether or not it was for you. It was located right next to Prevention with other books of similar size. I think an owl was on the cover. HTH if you're on the fence. pinky

I bought 3 yesterday at my Dollar Tree, not the best quality paper but good pictures. I thought I would try adult coloring out for that price. I also added the colorama free app to my phone, it's a lot of fun!

I found some Crayola adult coloring books on Amazon but haven't looked anywhere else. I did not especially like them because they all came as a set with a box of their colored pencils.

@DoneTryin, we went onto Amazon and I got a Christmas one for this year. Have another one coming too. I'll put Christmas music on one of these days and color my heart out! LOL. Yah, Amazon has the largest selection I've found yet.

Some pretty fancy coloring books for sure. I saw some at BB&B last week. I'm a jigsaw puzzle person myself.

I haven't tried adult coloring books as of yet, as it seems interesting. Supposedly, it's stress reducing.
I looked at the pages in Costco yesterday and it made me stressed just looking at them! ![]()

Some have asked about good pencils, etc. Here's a surprise -my favorites are from Barns and Noble. They are:
Barnes and Noble brush marker set: fantastic. You can do teeny areas and fill in large areas with ease. They don't bleed through the paper. The only downside is there are only 12 colors. II hope they add more. I've had these a while and they're still going strong. Plenty of ink and they haven't dried out.
Barnes and Noble Studio Series 30-color pencil set: also fantastic. Very smooth, very even color. I have tried lots of pencils, including very expensive ones, and these are much better than any of them, IMO. Downside: no true red. The red pencil has a lot of pink in it, it's a fuschia color.
Both are very inexpensive. At my store, they have a table set up with coloring pages and the pencils and markers, so you can give them a try.
