Oh, and speaking of barricades, many have been created over the years for women in the military.

Witness accounts conflict with 'Planned Parenthood shooting' narrative

A horrific shooting on Friday may not have originated at a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Colorado Springs as widely reported if witness accounts are to be considered.

Witness: The so-called Planned Parenthood shooting started in a Chase Bank parking lot
Google maps [screenshot]

On Black Friday, Several people were injured and University of Colorado police officer Garrett Swasey, 44, along with two unnamed civilians were killed by a man identified as Robert Lewis Dear, 57, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

While it was reported that the Public Information Officer for the Colorado Springs Police Department "told reporters that the entire incident started with shooting at the Planned Parenthood facility;" multiple reports conflict with this narrative, including accounts from eye witnesses.

Witnesses at the scene told MSNBC the original gunshots came from near the Planned Parenthood at a Chase Bank facility.

The Gazette reported that one of the injured civilians is an employee of Elite Vision, a business located in a building adjacent to the abortion facility.

John Berman of CNN interviewed Supercuts employee Denise Speller who claimed to see "one of the officers go down" from her business, which is .2 miles from the Planned Parenthood abortion provider in Colorado Springs (click on the video to

watch the exchange).

Excerpt:

DENISE SPELLER, WITNESS: I had just arrived at work. And we were just talking and we just had a guest leave the shop.

And we saw officers fly into the parking lot with their lights on and everything. And then we saw them pass our shop and go over behind the Chase Bank, which is next door. And then there were officers everywhere in the whole perimeter. And then we saw one of the officers that was behind the Chase Bank go -- we heard several gunshots. And then we saw one of the officers go down behind his car.

[...]

BERMAN: Was it clear to you where the shots were coming from?

SPELLER: From what we observed, we assumed it came from behind the Chase Bank drive-through. That's where we thought it came from.

BERMAN: It came from behind the Chase Bank drive-through. We had been told initially that the first call of a shooter came from the Planned Parenthood. How close is the Chase Bank drive-through to the Planned Parenthood?

SPELLER: Maybe less than a quarter-of-a-mile.

BERMAN: So down the street, a significant distance at this point?

SPELLER: Yes. Yes, just a little ways.

Without elaboration, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported at 1:34 p.m.:

Colorado Springs police says there is no connection to Planned Parenthood and shooting victims are getting treatment.

The Denver Post reported that at 11:40 a.m., "the Colorado Springs police scanner began to erupt. 'They are advising someone in the parking lot is shooting,' a dispatcher hollered, according to archives captured on Broadcastify.com. 'Actually we are getting several more calls now.'"

The motive has not yet been released, but that has not stopped numerous media outlets from irresponsibly speculating that the proximity of the shooting to abortion provider Planned Parenthood had something to do with the rampage before the facts are known.

No one is forcing women to have unwanted children.

Actually they are in some states where new laws have been placed on service providers. When there are only one or two in the state traveling great distances for some is impossible.

I think this brand new poster needs to verify her source.

There are similar bogus reports on right to life sites...along with ones that say the shooter works for PP.

This is laughable...I just don't understand why posters need to hide behind new nics and deny the obvious.

When I linked to the second newspaper on Sister's post - this is what came up:

Posting w/o reading the (hole---yes hole) thread.....

So I guess you have to be 'poor' to access PP's wunnerful bennies?

Regardless....I can't believe that women just put themselves out there.  Takes the chance of getting pregnant by a guy....

A.) she does not want to have a baby with

B.) a man she knows won't support her/the baby

I mean, I don't know how she can even enjoy lovemaking, to be honest, if she's worried about getting pregnant.

I'm all for supporting people who are down and out.  I'm sure many here can't even tally up how much money we've handed out to people on the street this year alone, plus the charities we give to monthly, and if you pay taxes, you're also helping.

But posters here think that just because a woman *somehow* gets pregnant, we aren't at ToyRus buying her car seats and cribs?

Isn't the woman supposed to think that for herself?

From what I've read, both civilians were killed at the clinic.

No, you don't have to be poor.  Not at all.  When I was first married, I got BC pills from them, as did a lot of women I knew.  I paid in full.

Yes she should think for herself. And if she doesn't want and isn't able to have a child, she should be free to use a legal means to end the pregnancy.

BTW - As a counselor, I deal with many women in committed relationships who get dumped cold if a child enters the picture. Husbands have been known to take off too. It's not just lazy, dumb people who end up with unexpected pregnancies.

Irish bravely let us know that it happened to her.

PP is there for everyone...many pay full price but enjoy the caring, professional treatment they receive there.

shakespears sister's post seems to be taken verbatim from an opinion blog on Examiner.com:

http://www.examiner.com/article/witness-accounts-conflict-with-planned-parenthood-shooting-narrative

The opinion piece was authored by Renee Nal ("Conservative Examiner -- Renee Nal is a political junkie and driven prolific writer. A relentless truth-seeker, her main objectives are to expose media and academic bias. Renee is a former Glenn Beck intern and a founding member of TavernKeepers.com; a political news website which is focused on reporting stories that are not covered in the mainstream media. People can draw their own conclusions about that source.
