I just got home and saw that Felicity Huffman and Lori Laughlin are amongst the parents facing multiple charges related to paying off someone to help get their children into the college of their choice.  These are top tier schools (Yale, Wake Forest, etc).

Story is just unfolding, I caught it on CNN but can't post the link.

They have tapes of the parents discussing it. Some of the students knew, some didn't. Their stupid parents weren't doing them any favors.

A large-scale scheme to cheat on college entrance exams has been busted by the FBI and federal prosecutors in Boston, according to court documents unsealed Tuesday. The alleged scheme focused on getting students admitted to elite universities as recruited athletes, regardless of their athletic abilities and helping potential students cheat on their college exams, according to the indictment. The scandal involves students who tried to or did attend Georgetown, Stanford, UCLA, the University of San Diego, USC, University of Texas, Wake Forest, and Yale.

Like this hasn't been going on for a hundred years.  Rich parents buying their kids' way into elite colleges.  

It's a shame they don't let the kids stand on their own two feet.  The world will catch up with them eventually.
