After returning home everything getting sanitizing wipe before entering house. Just the thought of what could be brought in makes me shutter. Better be safe than sorry but oh so much work!
Oh dear. If you are shuddering at the first of the semester, wait until Thanksgiving break then you can REALLY shudder! LOL!!!
Good luck for happy college days ahead!

I had a cleaning lady who drove up the next day and cleaned the room, my niece turned around and drove home for the night. Fortunately, her school was only an hour from home.
A cleaning lady????? Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!! You must be from Jersey.
@ChillyTulip. I believe she has said many times she lives in Massachusetts. I guess they are princesses up there too.

I'd probably have to bring my own mattress, lol. Maybe the kind that are meant for fold-up hide-away beds/cots. Don't recall what they are called. ........ Oh, wait! 'Rollaway bed' mattress.

I don't remember cleaning much when I went or for my kids but I know I would be aware of it now.
I don't know why that is unless we were all so tired from the drive and the thousand trips to BB&B we weren't thinking of anything needing to be cleaned.
I do remember I was just very glad my roommate had a huge fan for the room-it was so hot you could loose 5 lbs just sitting there.
It was a really small room-just large enough for the 2 of us-her large fan and her very large boa constrictor that she sometimes took out of its cage and had draped over her in bed-her pet!

I know right? I've thought of that many times and also back then. I guess apparently boas weren't banned back then.
The good ol days.
Or and I don't remember, none of us reported it. She said "he" was perfectly safe.
She asked me if I wanted to see him eat just once and that it was incredible to watch.
She was also strange in other ways. She had a boyfriend who she kept breaking up with. Would be on the phone and then after she talked to him, cry a lot.
I felt sorry for her and kind of helpless what to do.Would just try to comfort her.
I imagine that others would have reported her "pet". I guess I just didn't think to. I was pretty naiive.

A boa? I would have been out of that room on a permanent basis so fast all anyone would have seen was a streak!
