I don't drink coke but mildly addicted to plain, seltzer water.

Scary stuff. I knew some: About the stress on the kidneys. I was doing good and only having one Coke per week, but then somebody told me about Pepsi Throwback. Think I'll give up Soda for Lent - Hopefully, that'll help.

I don't drink much Coke these days. Maybe once in awhile @ Sonic drive-thru during Happy Hour, Coke Zero with a dash of Vanilla.

I was clearing out old magazines from my basket earlier today . . . stopped to read an article on water and drinking hot, room temp and cold at various times for various reasons. Hot in the a.m. . . . cold at night . . . room temp before meals. Interesting.

I had to stop drinking all soft drinks 11 years ago. This past summer I was in the hospital and I couldnt have coffee but I could have sprite or coke so I started to drink them again. It took me 4 months to stop drinking them!!! They were addicting to me. Glad I finally stopped.

Everyone knows they should drink water and lots of it. I also drink diet decaf PEPSI. I HATE Coke too blah. Pepsi has that extra UMF!

I drink 6 to 8 bottles a day. I haven't even tasted a soft drink in years.

Soft drinks really don't do a thing toward hydrating your body. Then there's the thing, that I'm sure everybody knows, that soft drinks are just among the very worst things you can consume.

But I'm not sure why there would be a question of 'soft drinks or water'. They are not in the same category, save that they are both liquid. Smiley Happy

I like a soft drink every now and then. I usually keep some Diet Squirt, Diet 7up, and often Diet Dr Pepper on hand. But if I have a 12 pack of each of those it will last me more than a year. Still, and probably one of the biggest reason I might drink one in two weeks, is the fact that they are just so very very unhealthy - whether it's diet or not diet.

As for 'soda' (club soda?) I keep some on hand sometimes for my waffle recipe. Doesn't taste very good, just to drink, though.

It tastes pretty good if you squeeze a wedge of lime into it. I do that a lot...makes me feel like I'm drinking "pop," but it doesn't have the calories or artificial sweeteners in it.

If those are the two choices...water, every time!!! I don't like Coke anyway, even less after I learned you could pour a can down a clogged drain and it would help clear it out.

ETA: I do prefer bubbles over flat water, so instead of spending fortunes on Perrier and San Pellegrino, I got a Soda Stream. Just squeeze some lemons or limes into it, and I have seltzer water and it makes me happy.
