Re: Cockatoo With PDD. Anyone try Celebrex?

I'm in a closed group on FB called Crazy Bird People Chat, there's a lot of good info on that page and many good people to ask advice from.

Re: Cockatoo With PDD. Anyone try Celebrex?

My apologies if I hurt anyone. My niece and I are already very, very, very well-informed. What we can't find is actual owner first-hand experiences using Celebrex with their own cockatoos to treat PDD. This information is sadly lacking. My niece is frantic. Thank all of you who have tried to help.

Re: Cockatoo With PDD. Anyone try Celebrex?

Depglass, for your own health, I urge you to read a good overview of problems associated with Celebrex in humans. I know this is not usually the best source for information; but I urge you to look at the article on Wikipedia about this drug. You will get an overview. I know I would not take this medicine. You can go to references in the article and verify what's printed there. I am not worried about the human problems for the bird. It may be able to save her life.

Depglass, Wikipedia is far from my only source of information on this medicine. After getting background, talk to your pharmacist.
