“This is like Catholic school: A handful of people misbehaves, and the entire class gets punished,” McDevitt said.
Yup. No pizza party for us.

i have no doubt in my mind that those who want to be sitting at a bar in delaware will now be flocking to those that are open in ocean city, md., berlin, md., cape may, nj, and other points inland in delaware.

Like the bars that were following all the rules being closed because of the ones that didn’t bother to even try. Some are trying to appeal that.
And then, you also have to consider what happens when the handful of people misbehaving sprinkles poison all over everyone else’s pizza...
I suspect many will suffer because of the misbehaving handful. And even then, will the misbehaving handful get in line and behave? Probably not.

Md beaches, more specifically Ocean City has been stuffed to the gills with people on top of each other and no masks required. Like a non-covid environment. Only a mask required indoors but shoulder to shoulder people on that boardwalk. Mayor turning a blind eye. Looks like the Governor will have to step in. Hope someone In the town finds what’s left of any reasonable judgement. People who live locally and pay taxes are livid. They want everyone to go away but that’s not looking like it’s going to happen. Town advertising no fireworks this weekend but come anyway people...I live locally but haven’t been near that town since all this started. I can see a shut down on the horizon.

Since April 1, stricken European countries have seen a steady and steep decline and have been opening their businesses with success as we have been seeing a gradual and now steep incline.
We need some serious public health response across the board, not piecemeal.
I don't think public health response is the problem. It is our leadership that is the problem, trying to downplay the pandemic and focusing on re-opening of the economy, while refusing to wear a mask and saying that if you wear a mask you are against him. The public health officials have been screaming in the background. Watch CNN and MSNBC - they have health officials on all the time.

MI closed bars again. I wish all indoor restaurants would also be closed. They seem very risky now.
If the population can't control themselves this summer, I doubt schools will open this fall.

I live in Florida and it is horrible here. I will not go out. All through this pandemic I have used walmart pick up and I order other things at Costco online. I wish I could go to Costco but will not take the chance. My county, St. Johns had a meeting yesterday and decided not to mandate masks. I always thought our county was led by smart leaders, but not now.
This is crazy, Covid cases are growing by leaps and bounds here and when I drive to walmart for my pick-up most people walking in the parking lot are not wearing masks. I am a RN, I knew this would happen if they opened up to soon. I am very upset about the lack of compassion for other people right now.

Sounds like the Europeans are much more willing to sacrifice for the greater good. Makes our country look selfish, and worse.
