I have resisted so far to getting an air fryer. Need more counter space for one and also about cleaning it. I will keep researching in this topic & try to find space for one.

When I am browsing at Barnes & Noble I see so many air fryer magazines & am tempted to just get an air fryer & take the plunge.

@MOMMAVik

The airfryer is really handy when you don't want to turn your oven on. Cleaning the basket and such is very quick and easy...just the heating element/fan area is problematic in the tall shaped airfryer.

::knock on wood:: My current fryer is 2+ years old and is still working with no issues. But in general, airfryers do have a reputation of burning out fairly quick. They could burn out for a variety of reasons, but I think oil build up may be one issue.

I am trying a cleaning method today I saw demonstrated...but I don't have the bottle cleaner they used to get down in the fan area. I know I had a bottle cleaner...I am thinking one of the boys must have used it for something.  🤔

nice idea but the cook area is small and they are too big for my counterspace. one smelled like plastic. once the plastic odor burned off cooked a whole chicken and it was ok. took a long time.   pain to clean and  returned it.    the other newer one  had PTFE components.  i can use my convection oven if i need to. i don't have a Ninja either.
