Would you attend a 50th class reunion of your high school or even elementary school? Why or why not?

I have never attended any of my reunions. Just never interested me. I've kept in touch with a couple of high school pals, but that's about it.

I can't make a decision that's so far into the future. Will I even be around then? I'm already in touch with the only people I care to be that I knew back then though.

No. I went to my first reumion and keep track of people on FB, but there's still too much drama. It's like most of them are still stuck in high school and never left...

My 50th high school reunion is in May. Although I have attended several in the past, I will not be going this time.
I can't really explain my reason, but I think it has to do with not wanting to face my mortality.

High school no. I might consider my college reunion, because I made good friends there. High school seems like another life.

Yes - I think it would be fun! ![]()

I never did either. I had a miserable time all throughout my school years (probably due to a miserable childhood). I hated school.

I attended my 30 year. It was combined with a vacation, I now live 1,000 miles from where I graduated. One of my best friends, who graduated from a different high school, was my "date". She was a police officer at the time in the town where I graduated. We had a great time! She knew everyone AND all the dirt! "Oh, I know him, I arrested him" LOL
She's now retired & moved away and I just really can't come up with a reason to go back. I was in band -- the color guard-- and I have more in common with the band members than people I graduated with.
There was a big party in 2011, just couldn't talk myself into it. At the 30 year party, all the "girls" were fun to catch up with. The guys were stuck in the past, like another poster mentioned and most of them ended up drunk. The rest of us brought our yearbooks and had a great time reminiscing. No one should feel compelled to go.
I keep up with everyone on a closed FaceBook group. Each year the group makes a donation to a scholarship fund at the school to honor those who have passed away.
