I've never experienced them here, no matter what google says. 🙄

It's been in the 20's the last few nights with hard freeze warnings. Or maybe there are enough woodland creatures that snack on them?

My grandson picked up the shells and put them in a bag with a huge smile on his face! His sister my little granddaughter pointed them out to him but didn't touch lol!

Ick! So gross!!

But it reminded me of my son back when he was the same age. What is it about boys? Though I'm sure there are some girl naturalists, future entomologists who think it's "cool" too.

What's that other word for them ? I can't remember.

I hate moths, too.

@SharkE June Bugs?  I loved those shells they come out of when I was a kid and collected them.  But I hate the noise they make!

@on the bay  My oldest grandson & all my brothers ate ants up until they started 1st grade.

My dog (female) eats anything that crawls.

@Snowpuppy      Wheat shortages were in Europe and Africa due to "conflicts"

@Desertdi Any of us could be subject to shortages especially with "conflicts" and weather.  It has happened many times in the history of the earth.

The last invasion many years ago, my sisters in Baltimore would have to put up an umbrella when they would come in and go out of the building at work.  They would just plop on your hair and clothes.  One evening, my sister was on 95 coming home from work.  While she didn't feel it, one had attached itself to the front of her blouse. She looked down and it was staring up at her...antennas wiggling.  Driving on 95, you ignore until you can safely pull over!  After talking to it calling it a few extreme choice words, she finally pulled over. She ran out of her car like it was on fire! 🔥
