I think you need to see a rehab doctor. I had major surgery to rebuild my left foot after arthritis had really damaged it. I ended up 5 months in a wheelchair and them about 6 weeks of PT. WELL - i was so exhausted all the time I could literally not walk from one end of my house to the other. Of course i had put on weight all those months sitting in a chair doing very little. In frustration my PCP who was very nice but could not for the life of him figure out what was wrong - sent me to a rehab doctor. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me. The rehab doc said for every min I had spent in that wheelchair I needed 3 min of rehab - intense rehab. He started me out with daily PT - then when I was able he stopped that and had me get into the pool and do water aerobics - from there I progressed to the gym and now I am pretty much back to normal. many people suffer with exhaustion type symptoms after orthopedic surgery - either because their doctor does not do sufficient rehab or because they themselves don't follow their doctors orders for rehab. There is nothing more important after any orthopedic surgery than the time, pain and effort put into getting yourself back to normal.I would ask your doctor to rule out any other physical ailment , then if there are none - get thyself to a rehab doctor.
