I'm shocked.  Always found him interesting, even though his 'world view' of course, was likely very different from mine.  Lost track of him in recent years.

Also always wondered what it was like for him as a little boy, with James Dickey as a father!  Tumultuous, I imagine....  RIP.

@Oznell I didn't know Christopher, but I do remember James Dickey.  Studied his poetry in high school, and I believe he wrote "Deliverance", didn't he?

Now I have to google...haven't thought of him in a long time.

Re: Christopher Dickey Dead in Paris

Oh, yes, @alicedee ,  James Dickey was the one who wrote "Deliverance"--  I had forgotten about that!

Like you, I was thinking of his poetry, which we studied also, and his turbulent life.  Seems to me I've read something Christopher had written about his relationship with his father.  As I remember him, he (the son) always had a sensitive air about him, almost like a slightly "wounded" quality.  (Not to be overly dramatic, but that was the sense I got.)
