Maybe it's just me,  but I don't care for the decorations on the QVC sets this year. All the trees are decorated in pastel colors, mostly pinks and beige. I saw a picture from one of last year's sets with a beautiful tree with bright colored lights, and wreaths with red bows, colorful garlands, etc. Don't get me wrong, the trees are pretty, but it just doesn't say Christmas season to me.

And why are all the hosts and most of the vendors almost always wearing black? They all look like they just came from a funeral. Did their bosses tell them they must wear black? I watched a Clarks presentation and both host and vendor were in black, showing black shoes, with the pale Christmas decorations in the background. It was depressing and sure didn't convey "it's the Christmas season, please buy our items".

I once heard a fashion designer explain why he always wore black and he said it so it wouldn't take away from his runway clothing. Whenever I watch a runway show- via YouTube the designer comes out to take a bow and is dressed in black or white shirt & dark jeans. Maybe the hosts have heard of this. Maybe not. Wearing floral or plaid is distracting to a product presentation.

I do like the set decorations.

I hadn't really considered if this year's decorations are worse than other years.  Jill had a Friday night decorating show.  I only saw one show, but it had several trees that were decorated in various styles.  They were all beautiful.
