I love Christmas movies, any time of year is ok with me. I have noticed lately that most all of the new Christmas movies coming out are nothing but romance with a Christmas theme.

I want them to make more movies like "A Christmas Visitor" with William Devane and Meredith Baxter, "Silent Night" with Linda Hamilton, during WWII in Germany, "Prancer" with Cloris Leachman and Sam Elliot, " The Christmas Shoes", Polar Express", "Pappa's Angels", "The Homecoming" the pilot movie for the Waltons, "The Gathering" with ED Asner, Angel in the Family" with Meridith Baxter as a deceased mother returning for Christmas, "The Town that Christmas Forgot", "Christmas in Canaan", and a really old one " The House Without a Christmas Tree" and films that deal with family, the season, overcoming grief or anything but just romance.

There are a few of the romance based ones I like a lot, like "The Christmas Card", "Comfort and Joy" with Nancy Mckeon, and such.

I enjoy a few of the comedy ones, like "Home Alone" and "The Grinch" and "A Christmas Story", as well, because they aren't just a cheesy romance novel either.

Anyone else tired of the newer offerings coming out this year?
