Christmas memories from the '50's

We would get mail twice a day. We knew our letter carrier and he was so pleasant.

My Dad would send out dozens of cards. He was a WW2 vet and corresponded w/ a lot of buddies.

I would listen (on the radio) to Gene Autry's program on Saturday nighths and he would sing a few Christmas songs and tell a Christmas story.

Any other memories?

Candlelight services at our church. My Dad was a fireman and the open flames made him a nervous wreck.
