No my neighbors DO NOTHING, rarely mow, rake or trim...but that is another issue!

You must live on the other side of my neighbors. {#emotions_dlg.lol}

No, no lights other than Christmas.

The lights around our deck are snowflakes and icicles- we keep them up all year so the kids' behind us can see them plus we enjoy them.. No one from the street can see them so we are ok.

That sounds nice, Suzie Smile

It used to be very popular around San Francisco for small businesses to have small lights around their front windows. I always liked it at night driving through those neighborhoods, especially when in rained. We don't see it that often anymore.

Noel, Hi! There's just something about lights at night in the dark. That's a shame stores stopped with the little lights around their front windows. Maybe they were afraid of a fire hazard or something. I guess it's from my childhood and at my age, I am still taken back by certain colors and twinkling.. those good fuzzy memories. awh that's just me..

I dont keep up lights but i do change the decor inside and out depending on the season. Spring/summer kind of blend together and as soon as October 1 comes i decorate for Halloween. Then i have a few fall things left from end of summer up. Once Thanksgiving is over up goes the.Christmas decorations. Then Jan to spring is winter. I have been doing that for the last.30 years.

I am always a bit ""down"" when the outside Christmas lights are put away. So ~~ this year I purchased enough white lights to go around our whole deck and I have them on a timer. It is such a good feeling to peek out across Puget Sound and see the lights.

The house across the yard still has Christmas lights strung along their railing. I understand one of the people living in that house is very ill, so maybe this cheers him up.

Had a bay window in my old house and I had novelty lights for nearly every holiday. Let's see how it went: Hearts - Shamrocks - Eggs & Bunnies - Flags - Sunflowers - School Bus - Footballs - Leaves - Turkeys - Candy Canes. Kids for whom I decorated are grown and the lights were given to a church rummage sale.

No, BUT there are people blocks away who keep their Christmas icicle lights hanging from their roofs year round and to me its ridiculous (and lazy). Also some of our neighbors kept their Christmas lights up until Feb. which again is to me ridiculous and lazy.PS) I decorate our window/inside of house/and outside for almost every holiday BUT I only put lights for Halloween and Christmas. And I don't over do it, except for Christmas, then I over do it.lol

When we lived on post it wasn't unusual for Xmas lights to be up until the soldier returned home. A neighbor a block down has replaced their spring décor for memorial day. All of the kids love her seasonal decorations.
