Yesterday had a meal of French Onion Soup, salad, and Peach Cream Pie for dessert. Also used a 'contraption' from the Q from years ago to use as a centerpiece. It was the 'floral design' glass centerpiece thing?? Used mine with parsley around bottom and a pineapple as the centerpiece with grapes and strawberries on it. Might sound uggo, but it was really nice. After dinner, we watched Jim Carey in a 'Christmas Carol' in 3D. It was a lovely evening. Even had my darling dog in her Christmas collar, a pinecone centerpiece on the coffee table and that's it. It was simple and so nice. Did anyone else do anything??

Re: Christmas in July at home

I remembered that it was my dear, departed mother's date of birth and how I treasure the happy memories of birthday celebrations in the past. Thanks Mom!

I don't do anything in July but I enjoyed reading your OP. And I remember that centerpiece thingy. Sounds like you had a lovely evening.

It was all business here, the business of buying. I stayed pretty much glued to the computer and tv, especially for Valerie's shows.

Too hot to think of Christmas in July, especially when the electricity was off for 6 hours and it was 95. We ate watermelon & enjoyed the pool.

We tend to do something similar on the weekend that Q runs their Christmas in July programming. Just something different in the middle of the heat of summer.
