A nice tox chest, with a toy inside, might be useful and fun

Thanks for the toy ideas! I am not going overboard but it is Christmas and her older brother and cousins will all be getting gifts and I'd like her to have some just right for her. I like the idea of classes but her parents are already taking care of that. I have several books and puzzles for her and will look into the other suggestions. Thanks!

Tupperware Shape o ball. My daughter played and played and played with this. By 10 months old she could put all of the pieces in the correct holes. She even opened it up by herself to empty it and start all over again.

I saw the title, 'Christmas gift ideas for 1 year old'
and I thought...'a paper bag'.
Or some glue & paper.
Or yarn & some twigs.
Imagination rules at that age.
Glue for a 1 year old?

Giggle!
Out of this -entire- thread of nonsensical, not-needed, questionable
gifts for a 1-yr old, THIS was the one thing pointed out.
Classic.

Maybe it's because I'm a grandmother and know glue is not something I'd ever give a 1 year old. I wouldn't give a 1 year old yarn or twigs either.
As usual, your initial response is a classic.
