Re: Christmas In July Is Coming

The two best parts to CIJ:  1) Getting the best deals on the newest decor items for the year, and 2) Watching all the contributors who complain about CIJ, because they are unaware of the other 100 tv stations they can turn on if they don't like CIJ.

Re: Christmas In July Is Coming

I am interested only in seeing Jim Shore and his wonderful pieces. I get at least 1 piece each Easter and Christmas for the family collection for my great grands.  I admire Valerie's items but they would be out of place in my little house and are not my style.  I can only use so many trees, candles, etc.  I don't have a need to update each year.  All other items I can get at 50% or less locally.  Some stores are selling them now.

I like the more natural appearance of my arrangements.  No glitter or abundance  of shimmery glass and funky deer.   I collect my own pine cones, acorns, grasses, pines, etc from nature.  I have natural looking handmade and painted ceramics made by a little ceramic shop about an hour away.  I will soon be looking for new special fall and winter pieces of greenware to take for her to finish.  I also collect turkey and pheasant feathers found in my yard and on walks.  Fall and winter are my favorite seasons to decorate.  I collect all year.  My husband loved to help me collect but let me do the arrangements.  His job was the tree and lights.

I just got the new Insider and scanned the TSVs at the top of the schedule.

I really like what they have to offer in July for the holidays.  Often they sell out and are not available by winter.

I know not everyone enjoys the July shows, just letting those who do know.

@Noel7  You probably already know this, but during the holidays the Holiday forum is the place to be during the Christmas shows as posters share their decor pictures, ideas, discuss products and give feedback, and all who love Christmas are welcome.Smiley Happy

@Gram W....I only see one, 1 hour show during the month of July for Jim Shore.  It is on Sunday, 1 AM, est...July 16.  He may be on other shows throughout July, but this is the only show listed as a one hour.

Re: Christmas In July Is Coming

I usually will watch the decor shows, but thats about it. I will be surprised if anything will be better than what I have bought over the past few years. I REALLY hope I can watch without buying this year Smiley Happy
