We usually get the decor up Thanksgiving weekend, including the tree. I plan to make that happen again this year. For me, if I'm going to go to all that work, I want the stuff out for about a six week period to enjoy it.

Usually around the 15th of Dec. I like to enjoy the decorations until Jan 6.

The weekend after Thanksgiving is when the harvest stuff comes down and the Christmas stuff goes up. After reading Happy Houswife's comments about her homeowners association, I wouldn't ever live by the rules those nutty people come up with. I mean, who really gives a rats___ whether there are some candles on a window sill?

Oh boy. Time for this again... I'll start Thanksgiving week and it all comes down at Epiphany.

I usually decorate on Friday (if I don't have to work) after Thanksgiving and it all comes down the day after Christmas......I like to start the new year in a clean, undecorated house. I do leave up a few winter things so the house does not look to stark.

I think I answered this somewhere..........I'm going to start with the pre-lit tree tomorrow. I dragged it up the stairs from the basement a week or two ago. Haven't decided which ornaments to use this year. Ran across a set of matt (not shiny) light fuchsia ornaments that are in good condition from many years ago. Not sure if I'll use them, though.
