Not only that, @software, but I think this comment seems almost to invite controversy; as if we really need such an invitation. :-)

Its funny how Tyson's name keeps coming up during the pandemic, there's this topic---anti-trust, and when the pandemic started how Tyson was reluctant and late in providing their workers with protective gear and sanitizing the work place, then we heard how many of their workers got sick....and even prior to the pandemic the hiring and treatment of workers.....  I think Ill stick to the store brand of chicken and chicken products rather than giving Tyson my business....JMHO

Please, please don't mess with our chicken.  Only millionaires can afford beef and pork.  What will we eat? Tofu, I guess.  I don't care if my chicken has antibiotics....just keep it around at a reasonable price.

Re: Chik-Fil-A food chain alleges antitrust against chicken producers

I don't see how a lawsuit against "Big Chicken" has anything to do with individual TP price gouging during lockdown, but maybe I lack imagination.

I thought Chikfila was considered okay again since they stopped donating to anti-gay charities in an attempt to stop the boycotts. I don't eat much fast food, so I don't know. If anyone expected me to pop in to denounce Chikfila as of the Devil or try to fight about it, I am pleased to disappoint them yet again.

Siding with Chick Fil A (and any other resturant who may join with them). Remember the BIG full page ad Tysons took out last spring stating that there MAY be a shortage in chicken products due to covid so BUY BUY BUY BUY CHICKEN NOW OR YOU MAY HAVE NOT MEAT.

It was a sick, disgusting slick ad campaign for Tyson and at that moment, ANY respect for them went out the window. I have no doubt that Tyson and Perdue (who hate each other, btw) came together and "convinced" the smaller companies to join them in doing this. Perdue is well known in MD; those on eastern shore can tell you PLENTY of stories about them. Just another day in Big Business...

Pork isn't expensive. Chicken breasts are getting expensive though and I rarely buy ground beef-when I make tacos or meatloaf or something requiring ground beef, I use ground turkey.

The only thing about this that bothers me at all is a giant corporation that pays zero federal taxes is able to use the federal court system to protect their interests. Corporate socialism in huge numbers but for the common person in dire straits who pays those taxes, no enchilada now.
