She was highlighted on that TLC "Who Are You" show...she went overseas to discover her Jewish lineage...saw her in a different light. A very intelligent, witty, funny comedienne.

I give everyone a chance. Have caught her show a few times. It's OK. Not hysterically funny. Amusing at best and she seems to me as if she's ""phoning it in"". Probably was as she's now leaving.

ITA. I don't watch her TV show but based on a few clips and her genealogy search, I don't dislike her. I think the title of one of her books is "Hello Vodka, It's Me, Chelsea" (?) is amusing -- I will read it one day.

How about her new one, "Uganda Be Kidding Me"??! Her trials & tribulations about airport security & travel....I, too, will read it one day. She definitely has a deadpan, no laugh-track type of humor. Very "The Onion" type of humor. =

I only watched her a couple of times, she acted a little snobbish to me.....but, maybe that's just her comedy expression. The channel she was on was something I don't watch often so that's another reason why I didn't catch her show much at all. I won't miss her.

I enjoyed watching her on that show as well, good to see that side of her. I could find her funny but at times...she could be very mean. I admire where she came from and how she has made such a good life for herself by hard work.

No great loss. She was barely phoning it in, and couldn't even read the notes in front of her correctly. She is horrible to Asian guests on the panel, humiliates her staff with demeaning skits, accuses them all of being "gay" as if that was the worst insult ever, can't interview her celeb guests without constantly talking about herself or propositioning them, and most of her so called "humor" revolves around body parts, booze, and bonking. Her show is much more interesting and congenial when Ross Matthews or Sarah Cologna, or even Khloe Kardashian (yeah I said it) sub for her. Those who think Joan Rivers' remarks and jokes are vulgar and filthy, just think Joan cubed when you visualize Chelsea Handler.

I remember watching her in Girls Behaving Badly. I though she was funny in that, but thought her show was awful most of the time. She has a lot of celebrities who like her and I think that's added to her popularity of late. I haven't watched the e channel in at least two years.

She tells jokes in a crude disgusting way. She is right up there with Joan Rivers. Both are not funny or good looking.
