I placed an order, through Amazon Prime, several weeks ago.  It came a day later than promised.  I followed the tracking.  It was no fault of Amazon.  It sat at the USPS for an extra day.  It's impossible to guarantee delivery.  And, it seems that this season, everything was slower.

A lot of people complain about the shopping channels pushing Christmas items too early.  But, waiting to order until December is taking a chance, if it's something you are counting on.

Last minute shopping is better done in the B&M stores.

I did order something a week or two ago.  But, I didn't need it for Christmas.  The EDD back then was 12/24.  It came a couple of days early, and I was surprised.

I had mine delivered yesterday and it was just for me so it really didn't matter when I got it.  Maybe they should have a box to check when you order so if you do not need it by Christmas they don't have to rush ship it and those who want it can get it on time.  I ordered quite a bit  - just for me - this year and everything came.   The garman vivofit was the special of the day so many probably saw it and thought it would be a great gift so in their defense it was not presented until late this month and would not have been seen by those ordereing.

I don't know. Every retailer has managed to deliver the items I ordered on time except QVC. I live 2 hours from their PA distribution center; one item never made it to me after 4 weeks....never had tracking info available. I called and canceled because I was delaying mailing my packages as the order was of multiples items going into packages shipping out. Still don't know what happened to the box.....

I think a majority of their stuff is drop shipped (by the manufacturer).

I know I contacted live chat about my drone being in processing since the 11th and they said they don't even get tracking info until the shipper gives it to them.  Right after that my order went into backorder.  I know shoekitty was having drone issues from HSN as well.    Thankfully my order isn't as important to recieve, but I wonder how many people will not be getting drones for Christmas?

Prime is wonderful for sure.  But if you order something that's not available for prime it can take forever.

People who don't shop early and/or have backup plans are bound to be disappointed. 

Very sorry to to those of you who DID order early and did not receive. I had to run out  yesterday and purchase a gift to replace the one that never arrived.

I got mine, but it was defective so it's on it's way back already. Glad I tried to set it up before I gifted it.
