WOW! Somebody nearly loved it to death!
Hope they are able to help this cat get to a healthy weight for its giant size and that it lives a happy & long life.

I was looking at this adorable kitty yesterday. I know exactly where the Morris animal shelter is, and was thinking of applying for adoption. Yes, he's big, okay fat, but you can tell that this cat is a larger cat. I've taken in rescues for about 45 years, and just like people, some of us are naturally little and some of us are larger built. Anyway, I did swear off taking in any more kitties at my age. I've still got 2, one is 19 and one is 14. Can not imagine life without a cat. Maybe I'll take in an old guy that's considered unadoptable when my 2 little friends cross the bridge.

Omg He's giant. I wouldn't want to clean his cat box.

Makes me sad...then upset...that people treat their pets like this.
I follow a kitty on IG...Big Barsik...and this sweet kitty is in a
foster home, slowly trying to lose weight. Seeing him struggle
while walking....trying to support the extra weight under his
little kitty legs..just not right.
It’s not ‘chonky’ cute to treat domestic animals like this.
ETA: I realize certain types of feline breeds are larger in structure
(like Maine Coon) but it appears this kitty is overweight, as well.

Yes, he is a big boy and being so, it means so much more love to hold. He is purr-fect. He would make anyone happy because he would appreciate and love that person very much.
Hope he finds the home he deserves. He would give so much more than he would need to receive, animals are like that. He is one big pillow to snuggle with.
I wish the very best for this furry guy.

Holy cat chow!
Where did Mr. B come from? He looks like he might have some bobcat in him. I know cats can be "big boned" and become chunky but I'm wondering if Mr. B might have some other DNA in him.
It would be interesting to find out.
Not a cat you want jumping on your lap. LOL

When I first saw that cat on the local news, I thought it was a tiger cub. I think the newscaster said it was a "senior" cat.
The agency vet where the cat is now located stated the cat is NOT ready to be adopted *yet.* More medical tests are needed.
