Re: Check Your Bank Account......

Many thanks to the original poster.

I rarely go to the customer care forum, so having this here is great.

We should all be made aware of this serious problem.

QVC should be notifying all of us of these issues.

It is very worrisome.

Seriously...reason #94746383903030 why a debit card

should never, never in the History of Ever be used

for purchases.   W.h.e.n will people learn?

*I realize many people don't qualify for credit cards but even with that...

there are many other forms of payment the debit card should never be used.

@sidsmom

i use a debit card sometimes.

i have had no issues using it with qvc.

if i EVER have issues, it is covered just like a credit card.......money is back in my account within 24 - 48 hours and paperwork is filed.

the debit card for the account i use to shop with does not have tons of money in it. shopping with "cash" is specifically what that account is for.

of course, i cannot vouch for others using their debit cards.

Re: Check Your Bank Account......

Ugh, thanks for the warning.

Yesterday I got an alert from Chase re my Amazon card.  I recently transferred some easy pays from the Q card to my amazon card to get the points.  I get an alert from Chase if I spend $1+ on my cc and debit card.  I thought it was weird but didn't get a chance to look further.

Thanks to this post, I just checked my Amazon card.  There were 5 easy pays of $4.49.  I looked up the order number on my Q account and that is not one of my order numbers.

So ... I'm going to let Chase bank know I may have fraud charges and I'm taking that amazon card off my Q account.

Thank you againWoman Frustrated

Again, like I mentioned, many people are not able to afford or

have the credit to obtain a credit card....that's has be the only

reason why someone would be using a debit card.

But when there are other forms of non-credit payments available....

a debit card still shouldn't be used.

Don't use debit card = NEVER have issues

I've used this illustration before....

I like to create a large digit moat around my bank accounts.

NO ONE is getting in except me.

I really do think that's the difference between just having the money

or honoring & respecting the money. If one honors their financial

status, all this will make sense.

most of us have choices and specific reasons for what we choose to buy and HOW we choose to pay for it. i am perfectly satisfied with my financial institutions and they way they protect and handle my money and my accounts, whether they be investments, checking accounts, savings accounts, or credit card accounts. i am fine with the way i choose to monitor my spending and accounts. no two people will handle things in the same way.

Re: Check Your Bank Account......

My security is as much my responsibility as those who hold and manage my account numbers.  Based on their inability to maintain a smoothly working website, I lost faith in QVC's IT department, so deleted credit card numbers from my QVC account several years ago.  On the rare instances I shop QVC these days, payments are made through PayPal, and I don't use EZ pay.

I did some Christmas shopping with them, so after reading this thread, I checked my QVC account history, then my bank account and, fortunately, found nothing amiss.  To keep it that way, I changed my PayPal password and will change my QVC password after posting this.

Re: Check Your Bank Account......

To all those posting here--I truly share your pain!!

I am a Q shopper for multiple decades.

Yes, I have used my debit card in the past for payments-because it also functions as a credit card--and never had ANY problems.

Last year I finally opened a Q card so all Q purchases could go there.

Read my story (poem) of terrible problems in Q Talk- Be Very Afraid.

Rather than take out double payments, the Q took out NO payments--a systems glitch they called it as well. They then sent my account to collections saying I had failed to pay.

The payment technology is HAVING TOO MANY PROBLEMS. I am cautious about everything right now!

Not a very good way to run a business!  When were they going to tell the customers?
