@Still Raining @What I wish I could find out is what about the updates I missed since I stopped updating? Will these updates, especially security fixes be included in the newest update?
I think the most recent updates always include all prior.
Like we have a choice 😬
@Mindy D and @Still Raining, Yes... if we missed a previous update, the newest one will "catch up" for us.
Otherwise, if people tried to skip one version and later manually install a subsequent one, we could cause all manner of problems on the device.
The new releases rely upon, build on, the previous ones.
@Mindy D, The Apple website has always listed all individual updates' release notes with complete, detailed information about each one.😊

@ID2 @Brand new today. I wish I'd never stopped updating. Wish I could get a new battery quickly, very close by, while waiting, from place authorized by Apple.
@Mindy D, As I mentioned, subsequent updates resolved the battery issues (at least all of the battery problems I saw and read about).
Since you missed those, you might want to give the current version time to install so you can see if battery performance is better now.
Remember, by the way... the iPad / iPhone updates take a day (or even a few days) to complete processing.
After we install the new version, it continues to process internally (it might even seem to slow down the device temporarily) so what we see immediately usually is not what the actual results will be a few days later.

Even if you skip updating for a long time (not recommended because there are security updates in it), when you do finally update it will bring everything current.

@Sooner, true, not all mobile devices are everyone's cuppa tea. I love my Mac desktop, too... and also my iPad and iPhone. 😊

I can't imagine not doing the updates. I've never had a problem either.

@Sooner I have a Mac Air laptop as well (on it now). I use this all over the house and love it! I'm on it 90% of the time.
However I purchased a refurbished iPad mini to use for travel. It was nice to have and so much smaller to carry when I went to Florida. I take it with me when I bring DH to his therapy as well (I got it with cellular for easy internet access)
@haddon9 I bought an IPad Mini when they first came out and liked it a lot. I don't use it as much now as I used to, but it's great for book reading, although so are Kindles, and browsing.
My husband thought it was useless until I bought him one for Christmas long agi and after that neither one has had a regular sized IPad. We did get an IPad pro for business use and sometimes I read magazines on it.

@dooBdoo Thanks. I took the time to go through all the updates including the security fixes for each one. Sure wish I had known they fixed the battery problem. Thank you for the expert knowledge you've supplied on this forum.

I tried to access my Chase CC account and was informed that I needed to download a new browser since they no longer accept mine.
I don't wish to add a browser, especially since all my other CCs and banks are fine with my current browser.
I resent a company that can well afford to support multiple browsers, expecting to dictate which browser I use.
