We can say "sex".
We just can't say we have been assaulted unless we have proof.
Or, we can SAY we have been assaulted, but we won't be BELIEVED unless we have proof.
@QueenDanceALotWhat other claimed crime is believed without proof?
Many times "proof" is just a word. What was accepted as fact in a courtroom has later been shown to be circumstantial and prisoners have been vindicated and vice versa.
In the past, these acts were not even considered a "crime." Females were not raised to defend themselves and DNA wasn't even on the horizon.
Hopefully, today's young women are being raised to not be victims, to look to those brave women who have finally come forward and admire them and to defend themselves if they find themselves in similar situations, and most importantly, to support other women in similar circumstances.

She was in her mid-30's at the time. She wanted a job. She was at his house and ended up in his bed somehow...she isnt sure. And then called the next day to see if she'd gotten the job.
She didn't.
What do you think? If she had, would we be hearing her story today?
yes why wouldn't we hear it?
@lovescatsShame maybe? Did you READ what I posted? He all but raped her and she called after that, the next day, to ask if she'd gotten the job she wanted...working for the guy who all but raped her.
If he did hire her after that night, and she was still working for him today, I don't see why she would come forward with details about what he did.
Job or no job, I'm surprised she's talking about it anyway. What he did, she cried throughout it, and the morning after, "Hey, Charlie...did I get the job?"
Please.
@esmerelda yes I read what you wrote. So either way job or no job she shouldn't have brought it up or told anyone what happened?
@lovescatsI'm not saying she shouldn't have. What bothers me is that after what he did to her she still had hopes of working for him. Isn't that like telling him what he did to her was okay?
Then again if she's stupid enough to do that, she's not smart enough to understand how bad it looks to admit it.
so people shouldn't admit to things that make them look bad?

I think the answer is every man, woman and child needs to wear a body cam at all times.

CBS knew this story was coming out for weeks and did nothing. This is from Brian Stelter Twitter feed which explains why Charlie wasn't on the air this morning and let's face it, this is going to end with Charlie:
CBS News has known this Charlie Rose story was in the works for several weeks. What steps, if any, did the network take in response?

@lovescatsIt doesn't make her look bad, It makes her look like she didn't really mind what he did to her and would be willing to continue to be abused by him.

I think it’s always been there, and history seems to back that up.
