Charity car donation organizations

Does anyone know of a reputable car donation organization in NYC? You know, the kind of place that picks up a car and then the proceeds go to a charity? The car is in Brooklyn and I'm on the west coast. I have a feeling there could be a lot of variation in how much (if any) actually goes to charity. My mother found some info on a place but I'm getting a bad feeling about it, based on the look of the website and lack of info on current charitable donations.

Or, do you know of a site I can check out potential organizations I find to donate the car with?
