LOL, just what I thought.

Isn't it also the most basic common sense suggestion anyone could make.
The home shopping channels are in millions of homes. No program or host or vendor, is ever going to appeal to everyone.
The fact that you can't stand a host talking about her family, or a vendor dancing, and just have to "change the channel" because you find in unbearable that a host wears the same pants too often
the fact remains, the network will decide whether or not they feel the host is doing the job they expect, the vendor is selling enough to be profitable, etc.
Sooooo, if it really gets on your one last nerve, that badly, that the vendor keeps rubbing the product on her body, And the host misused a pronoun, then, for your own sake, by all means change the channel.
Isn't that what you would do with any other program you started to watch and didn't enjoy?
There is a difference between a disliked tv show and a presentation of products/items a viewer wants to see. I want to see the Mizrahi designs but, because of the obnoxious Shawn, I'm compelled to change the channel. It's beyond annoying when again and again presentations are missed because of the host.
It's true that no one is universally liked but most professionals are tolerable. That's all we want a tolerable host that makes it about the item and not about themselves.
And, I really like Shawn, as obviously, do many viewers. If QVC had any reason to believe she was really costing them sales, she could be the nicest person on the planet, and she'd be unemployed.
A former Host seemed to be a favorite of many, I found her to come across as phony. Very possibly I was totally wrong, but, she gave me that vibe.
However, if she was showing something I really wanted to see, I wouldn't have let the fact that she was hosting keep me from watching.
I'm a very very casual viewer, always have been. Maybe if I were someone who spent hours watching, things would annoy me more. But, I'm not, so, they don't!

Exactly! As soon as anyone gives a less than glowing opinion, there is always the post "change the channel" or "do something else". Its so predictable and from the same posters.

ITA and that HAS to be one of the MOST OVER used snotty responses here..
I like how some have to tell people they have a life so they don't watch tv all the time or others ask posters if they have a remote and if it has an on/off button.

That's the key here, IMO. All too many viewers watch QVC as a form of entertainment, so they see everything, over and over. Of course they're going to be sick of certain things! LOL.

It's their way of trying to cut the retort off at the pass.
I think I see it now. Thank you everyone for the discussion.

If someone is going to start a thread that has already been addressed a thousand times before, then everything is fair game.

Hmm. How do I say this? I don't think weather, news, shopping channels, etc. are meant to be watched around the clock. It's informative broadcasting -- you pick and choose what you want to be informed about. It's not theater. I don't understand detailed critiques on the board regarding hosts or scheduling. There are no Emmys or Oscars here. It's not entertainment - again, it's informative broadcasting. By all means, if something drives you nutty change the channel. If it was a TV show you didn't enjoy, you'd change the channel. When you post constant, negative hoopla about the Q network, you may as well wear a sign that says -- I don't have a life -- I'm not an interesting person -- I have a tendency to be negative and high maintenance. And who wants to give that impression?
