Re: Changes in content and attitude

I rarely watch, just shop on-line.

Over the years QVC has had and still has, a few hosts that are unwatchable, IMHO. I'm not into their personal lives, opinions, trash talk or made up words. I follow the wisdom of "shut up and I might buy something".

Frankly, I think it makes QVC look a tad desperate.

I think it's all much ado about nothing.

The "offensive episode" was on a streaming podcast episode.  One would need to seek it out.

It wasn't broadcast on free over-the-air channels where the youngins and faint of heart might hear it and be accidentally exposed.

I applaud Qurate for embracing all modern, current forms of communication and encourage more of the same.

Steve did a live Tik-Tok show after his regular broadcast and it was terrific.

It's not 40 years ago.

Glad to see there are others who don’t like it! I know that’s how much of the country talks, but I don’t. And I long for times when language like this would have been unheard of, especially on a shopping channel.

O all of you, writing such strong straightforward comments.

@farm girl 12   I think the Q is showing products, vendors, influencers from around the country to hopefully connect with each of us.   Do I think this is perfect, no but I think it's a good try.  So I'm in a pretty diverse community with lots of choices to spend my monies but I still comparison shop & like that the Q spends more time, in my opinion, of showing me what it is/how its used/what to do with it, etc.  And, do I shop here, sometimes as I just placed several orders for Christmas presents but I also shop others.  Again, I like the options the Q offers.

Nice post @colleena. 😊

someone asking about a swear word on podcast seems kinda tame

I don't care what someone's favorite curse word is. Why would that be something you would want to know about a person?
