The CEO has talked about entertaining viewers for at least 5-6 years. I don't know how he and others at Q define entertainment but this isn't it.

I find the menopause monday, over 50, and other marketing ploys targeting older women to be condescending at best.

It's just a bunch of middle aged women fighting for attention, telling personal stories, and seeing who can be most obnoxious, while selling the same old, same old stuff.

@farm girl 12  Welcome. Be advised to wear your best armor around here.🤪

I haven't watched the Q in ages.

I am not shocked about the favorite curse word considering what I read around here but if that comment was used to draw in a new generation of viewers it is insulting to think juvenile behavior is all that generation can relate to today.

Be well.

No one is forcing you to watch the podcasts.  That's where the "What's your favorite curse word?" was asked.

I agree that the Q has changed, but so have the times.

I agree with this. I feel badly because I can't stand to watch it 90% of the time.

Welcome @farm girl 12 .

I agree although I don't watch as much as I used to and I've never watched the fashion and beauty shows much because I've never been much of a girly girl.

When you don't know who you are, you pretend to be something else and become very attention grabbing even if it's negative which comes off as childish and immature to me as a viewer.

QVC doesn't know who they are right now or what they want or need to be to be profitable so they're floundering to find their identity in a new, faster paced digital world.

I think the word we are all looking for is authenticity. That sells/connects with us the most and it seems to be lacking in this channel and in our lives.

The current approach doesn't appeal to me even though I am in that demographic so I check in occasionally when I get an email with something I might like or, honestly, these boards keep me in the loop the most.

Have a great day!

For some reason the phrase that Rachel uses in a commercial about 'finding my power' at 50 is dumb.

That's why I don't watch the programs.  I check in online to see the new products list, but that's it.  If QVC thinks they are entertaining, I'm clearly not their target demographic.

@farm girl 12 ,  that's interesting.  I don't watch the fashion or the beauty airings, so I've missed this stuff.

I like your comments.  It's just uncouth, this awkward 'lowering of the bar' in the name of reaching more customers, in my opinion. "What's your favorite swear word", etc., is not something I think about or want to participate in.  I find it cringe-y, demeaning and patronizing toward the customer.

Behaving in a businesslike manner while selling, does not preclude creating a friendly, helpful or even "fun" atmosphere.  But having basic standards of dignity and respect in these types of exchanges with others is kind of a bottom line requirement.  You can never go wrong observing timeless standards of politeness with strangers.

@farm girl 12 ,  at the bottom of this page, under "Connect With Us", there's a category called "Feedback".   You can click on that and make your concerns known directly.  You have a worthy concern!
