Maybe a bit off  topic, but I think the dashboard cell phone holders should not be allowed.  Very distracting.  It's bad enough with my wide screen dashboard monitor which I find somewhat distracting too!!!  It's so easy to look about & find yourself in another lane.  Thank God I have a lane departure feature.  Too much technology today!!!

@gaga Welcome!🥰 I COMPLETELY understand; though they can come in handy!😊

Re: Cellphone RUDENESS!!😐

Most of the time when DH holds the door open for women they give him a dirty look like I can do it myself?

I hoped you yelled Thanks a lot to the person that couldn't hold the door open.

A lot of people are obsessed with their cell phones?

In a huge hurry, I ran into a grocery store to grab a few items last week. When I turned down one aisle, I stopped in my tracks.

There were 4 people in that aisle, all shopping separately. Each one was motionless, and just staring down at their phones.

Sure, they could've been reading grocery lists, but it struck me nonetheless.

The saddest experience, though, was one day when I picked up my grandkids from CCD class.

There was a handful of moms waiting for their children, & had their younger ones in tow.

The little ones were staring blankly at nothing while their mothers were absorbed with cellphones, never looking up from them.

@sabatini Your post sums it up BEAUTIFULLY!❤ These are some of the experiences I am also noticing! I am SO glad I am not the only one this observant. It is almost impossible to NOT notice, but I am at a loss as to how it has happened SO quickly.😁

THANK you SO much for caring to share your observations this afternoon!🤗

My husband and I went to Target to pick up some wine that we like on sale.  We went down the wine aisle and there was another woman right ahead of us and then ahead of her (closely) was a young woman (probably no more than 19 or 20) with her shopping cart and talking on her cell phone.  The lady ahead of us was trying to reach around her and can tell she was being nice and trying not to "interupt"her.  Then the lady said excuse me and the 19/20 year old lashed out.  Very loudly saying, "WHAT!!!" like she was being bothered.  I just can't believe people sometimes.

@SandySparkles This has become one of the banes of my very existence! I hate seeing people everywhere constantly on their cell phones, it's literally ruining our society.

Everywhere I go people aren't looking up and out at the world they are looking down and are just oblivious to everything around them.

I like to go to the gym and am constantly getting irritated at people just lingering on the weight machines lost in whatever is going on on their stupid phones, clueless to the fact that I'm there wanting to actually use the machines! ugh!

Also, I think it's become a social crutch that people pull out when they are feeling socially awkward which is increasing due to their lack of social interactions because of their prference of a screen to a human face, so it's just a a vicious cycle.

Haha, so yeah I get it!

Sorry about the door slamming on you!

My pet peeve with cell phone use is when people block entrances like doors, market aisles, public parking, etc. while they are texting.

@lgfan Welcome!🥰 That grinds my gears ALSO!😡

I have told people that didn't say thank you when I held the door that I wasn't the doorman.
